Maegan & James {Museum at Prairie Fire Wedding Photography}
From the moment I met Maegan and James I knew they were something special. From the moment they met each other they knew the same thing. They connected online and finally decided to meet. Maegan's sister was on standby to interrupt the date just in case. But she was the one who got stood up that night. They talked and talked for five hours. Their similar upbringings made the conversation easy and their KU/Mizzou rivalry has kept them razzing each other since that first date.
Their wedding day was pretty spectacular. I had a blast designing their invitations and wedding paper to fit the style of the Museum at Prairie Fire and give a not so subtle nod the dinosaurs. From the moment Maegan and her bridal party walked in the door wearing dinosaur onesies to the arrival (and first appearance) of the Betty Rae's ice cream truck this Kansas City wedding day was full to the brim of heartfelt and hilarious moments. Enjoy!
From Maegan and James:
Favorite Moment of the Day:
Maegan: I have two favorite moments. One favorite was our first look. After a year of planning and a morning of getting ready, we were FINALLY able to see each other as bride and groom! I thought I would be all tears but, James and I were both all smiles. I'm so glad we were able to have a moment to ourselves to take it all in before the craziness of the day started (even if all our friends and family were watching.) My second favorite moment was the look on James' face when I surprised him by having his dad play the trumpet during our first dance. I'm so glad we were able to pull off the surprise!
James: My favorite moment would be either praying at church with Maegan or listening to all the speeches.
Advice to brides planning in the future: It's cliche but enjoy the process! Whether you plan it yourself or have a wedding planner, just have fun! Choosing wedding professionals that you click with will make planning fun and will help your big day go smoothly.
A huge thank you to Mike Tsai for being my awesome second photographer!
