Laura & Gordie {Our Lady of Sorrows and Hilton President Wedding Day}

Rain on any wedding day is less than ideal, but I am firm believer that it is always good luck (my own backyard wedding reception was rained into a church gym).  To date Laura and Gordie's wedding was by far the rainiest wedding day I have ever shot.  The clouds in Kansas City opened up and didn't stop all day.  But that also didn't stop Laura and Gordie from having an amazing day.Their classic wedding style was perfectly complimented by small touches of rustic charm that Laura and Gordie brought with them from their home in Denver.  Tones of gold and soft blue complemented the gorgeous flowers and the amazing elegance of the Congress Ballroom at the Hilton President Hotel.  Their wedding cake, while classic white upon first glance, even had details of the mountains they love etched in the side.  Christine with Celebrations of Love was a total rockstar in planning this day and making sure that it went smoothly for Laura and Gordie.  Enjoy!From my bride Laura:Inspiration for the wedding:  Romantic

Advice to brides planning in the future: Take 2 minutes to sit back and look at everything Rainy days don't turn out to be that bad!
Special thanks to Mike Tsai for being an amazing umbrella holder and second photographer!
